Assignment

• Choose a disease you are interested in and assess symptoms, population rates, etc. Search the primary literature to see out what genetic factors have been linked to the disease. Explore current status on causes and therapy approaches. Perform a search for the suspected disease genes using the ortholog prediction tool to see whether other experimental animal models feature an ortholog for. Consider whether it a specific approah using an alternate model may be able to address a question on how the gene is involved. Summarize your findings in ~500 words and send to <lobsterman.bgsu@gmail.com> by 3/4/19. 10% of course grade.
