Black Swamp Wildflowers dedicated to the restoration and preservation of the natural heritage of Northwest Ohio

Wetland Mitigation Credits

75 acres of high-quality forested wetlands are currently available for wetland mitigation credits in the greater Toledo area. The site has been added to the Army Corps of Engineers and the Ohio EPA mitigation clearinghouse to fund a conservation easement through the Black Swamp Conservancy. In addition to preservation of the forested wetland, other enhancement and restoration opportunities exist as well. Details about suitability for particular projects can be obtained from Jeffery Boyles (Ohio EPA) <Jeffrey.Boyles@epa.state.oh.us>, Paul Wetzel (Army Corps of Engineers) <Paul.F.Wetzel@usace.army.mil>, Rob Krain (Black Swamp Conservancy) <steward@blackswamp.org>, and Robert Huber (Black Swamp Conservation Area) <blackswamp.oh@gmail.com>.
